In sunny California, a dress with stockings and a light jacket is perfect for a casual Sunday. This summer dress transitions perfectly into fall with some stockings and ankle booths. Also getting ready for the Christmas season with sparkling red nails :)

LA AIDS Walk 2014

Waking up for the AIDS Walk was definitely not easy. Once I got there, it took forever to find parking. The actual start of the AIDS walk was really crowded, but luckily I was with Key Club and there were people looking out for me. By then middle of the walk my legs really started hurting, but I remembered there would be ice cream at the end and that made it all better! After the walk, I knocked out for 3 hours and woke up to find out I had sunburn on my shoulder which is not going to go away any time soon.

TIPS FOR FUTURE WALKS:
1. Wear sunscreen
2. Stretch beforehand
3. Take more pictures

Blue and Blue.

Although fall is approaching, it is still really warm here in LA. (Still 90°F-100°F.) So the sleeveless shirt is perfect to stay cool, while the striped shoes and shirt print match perfectly together. I want to get the most use of this bold blue before summer ends.

Overalls Sort of Day

I was so excited when overalls came back to style, but I could never find one that I like. When I saw these, I knew they were perfect from the slight distressed edges to the relaxed fit. Overalls are perfect for those days when you want to wear a little more than your typical shorts and t-shirt, but still have a sort of laid back look.

 

Overalls were perfect for a day out exploring with my dog Cocoa.

 She making her "sad" face at me when I tried to put her on the hammock.

 Came home and enjoyed a homemade mango smoothie to beat that LA heat.

Fancy to Relaxed

I decided to paint some of the furniture in my room as a summer project and today I started with my bed-stand. I wore a more 'relaxed' outfit for the (oddly) humid day in SoCal.

 

 The finished product was a green to white ombray.

A quick homemade yogurt parfait is the perfect quick snack for such a hot day.
